Sponsorship and the Wainwright Stampede.
Sponsorship plays a crucial role in the ability for not-for-profit groups like
the Wainwright Frontier & Exhibition Agricultural Society to successfully
present events annually that give back much in way of entertainment, economic
and tourism benefits to the community.
The
need for securing sponsor dollars to stage major events like the Wainwright
Stampede is ongoing and requires the commitment of local, regional and national
businesses, large
and small. The 58th annual presentation of the Wainwright Stampede
this June will feature 4 exciting CPRA/PRCA Professional Rodeo performances, a
finals performance Sunday night and
four performances of thrilling CPCA Professional Chuckwagon Racing in front of large
crowds of loyal fans in the Stampede grandstands. Over the past 50 years the
Wainwright Stampede has created a lasting legacy in the Town of
Wainwright
.
This signature event is the single biggest activity to happen each year with
thousands of people in town to capture the Frontier Spirit of Wainwright.
This calibre of event would not be possible with your local support and
sponsorship.
Your
sponsor dollars help to underwrite the cost of producing this annual event.
A significant portion of sponsorship dollars are devoted to what is known
in rodeo as “added money”, funding which helps generate more entries from
the best Pro Rodeo
cowboys. The
Wainwright Stampede is the 7th largest Pro Rodeo in
Canada and in the top 75 of all rodeos in
North America.
A notable achievement due in great part to the
dedication and commitment of hard working Stampede volunteers.
Sponsor dollars help the Stampede grow in other ways too with funding for
upgrading and building new facilities, community scholarships, marketing and
helping to keep the cost of tickets affordable for rodeo fans.
